Desmond Gatling is on a mission to make education work for every child. As National Programs Coordinator at The Hunt Institute, he works at the intersection of policy and practice — connecting senior legislators, educators, and decision-makers to drive real change in public education. With eight years of hands-on experience in college access, program design, and youth development across North Carolina, Desmond knows what it takes to move people and systems. He holds a degree in Sociology and Education from Duke University and an MBA from Western Governors University.
